GLAUCOMA

This is the condition in which a group of eye disorder can cause damage to your optic nerve and lead to vision loss.

Symptoms

• Eye pain
• Head ache
• Rainbow colour halos around lights
• Low or blurred vision
• Redness of eyes

Treatment

Laser therapy –

It helps to improve fluid drainage from your eyes

Surgery –

(MIGS) Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery in which a stent or device is used to improve the outflow of fluid from your eyes.

PTERYGIUM

It is a raised, fleshy growth on your eye conjunctiva.

Symptoms

• Raised pink growth on your eye
• Dry eyes
• Itchy eyes
• Feeling like you have something in the eye

Surgery

Amniotic membrane is cut to the proper size and placed to cover the area where pterygium  was removed.

RETINOPATHY (DIABETIC AND HYPERTENSIVE)

Eye conditions that weakens the blood vessels in your retina.

Symptoms

• Blurred vision
• New color blindness
• Poor night vision
• Small dark spots

Treatment

Laser –

To reduce swelling your retina and new blood vessels growth. It shrinks blood vessels or stop leaking

Eye injections –

One of the most common treatment for diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy.

Vitrectomy -

  It is a surgery to remove the vitreous humor (gel like substance that fills the center of your eyeball)  and it may be replaced by sterile salt, water, silicon oil or gas bubbles. This helps your eye keep its shape and your retina stay in position.

HYPETENSIVE RETINOPATHY

It can lead to vision loss due to damaged delicate blood vessels due to high BP

Symptoms

• Vision problem
• Headache
• Swollen eyes
• Burst blood vessels in the eyes

SQUINT

This usually occurs because the muscles that controls the movement of eye and eyelid are not working together.

Causes

• Congenital
• Hereditary
• Any injury or illness
• Lesion on cranial nerve

Treatment

Glasses –

If Hypermetropia then glasses will correct the problem

Botox –

Temporarily weaken the injected muscle to help the eyes to align properly
